I hired Castlebrook Restoration to complete a repair job on my home after a water leak mitigation was completed. I cannot thank James Wiles and his team enough for their exceptional service. They provided a fair price for the work and met a very tight deadline we were facing. James kept us informed throughout the project and worked tirelessly to ensure everything was completed to our satisfaction. Castlebrook also efficiently handled all necessary communications with our homeowners' insurance carrier, expediting estimates and responding promptly to requests to get the work approved. I can't thank James and the Castlebrook Construction team enough. We were in the process of selling our home in Largo when the recent hurricane caused significant roof and interior damage. Just four days after my initial call to Castlebrook, they completed the repairs exactly as promised. Thank you, James and the Castlebrook team, for your exceptional work and quick response!

James came out did an assessment and handled my insurance paperwork work for me ,took the stress out of dealing with that part. His receptionist was extremely responsive and handled all my questions and concerns.

After speaking with a few roofing companies I was most comfortable with Castlebrook. James walked me through the issues with my roof while he inspected it and was very clear about what he was going to do and how it will help. The price was very reasonable and he had it fixed the first business day after we confirmed we were happy with the quote.

James was rude and disrespectful to my family. Typically the insurance will send the check directly to the contactor. The insurance company in this case sent it to the homeowner. He harassed them for immediate full payment assuming they were trying to pocket it. Meanwhile the contract says verbatim, "Balance to be paid in cash or other approved method of payment upon substantial completion. 50% Deposit required unless otherwise specified." Maybe he's not aware of that line in his contract? Or he forgot since insurance companies were paying him in full upfront? Nothing excuses the rude, entitled, unprofessional, and disrespectful behavior. Read the other complaints on BBB.

Please go to this company's better business bureau (BBB) profile for a better understanding of how they operate. I find it odd that the reviews here are all so positive. I'll just leave it at that. My experience is much closer to those you'll see listed in BBB. Edit: responding to owners response regarding the above comment. I will gladly provide additional context! We heard about this company from a neighbor that was utilizing his services. We've never experienced flooding in our home until hurricane Helene. We have small children and were desperate to hire someone to remove drywall and avoid mold. The services rendered by Castlebrook included removal up to 4 ft (which was inconsistent), fans for dryout and mold remediation for a total of aprox 2200 sq/ft. They charged us $24k!!! We've compared what other neighbors have paid for MORE work than what Castlebrooke completed (we removed our own floors and have not removed cabinets) and it's less than half of what we paid! Please save your money and get multiple quotes from other vendors so you're not overpaying like we did. The owner has a very passive aggressive approach if you question the charges. He claims we're trying to gain from insurance but it's clear Castlebrook is who is trying to gain form the OWNERS insurance proceeds. I look forward to hearing from your attorney regarding this bill that has already been PAID IN FULL out of our own pockets bc we couldn't wait to get rid of them and find a much more reasonable contractor. Edit #2, in response to owners second comment: Please note how the owner of this business, Mr. James Wiles, responds in an effort to somehow embarrass us? The only embarrassing thing about all of this is his behavior. I am still waiting to hear from your lawyer,sir, which you have threatened us with from the get go. And Yes we did indeed pay you out of pocket. We never provided Mr Wiles our insurance information because it is not a requirement, therefor Mr. Wiles would have no idea of what we had or had not received at the time of his payment. What Castlebrook is hoping you do is basically sign over an AOB (Assignment of Benefits), Where you are signing over the rights and benefits of your insurance policy to a third party, and you may lose all rights to the insurance claim, including the right to mediate the claim, or to make any decisions regarding the claim, including repairs. This is no longer a legal practice in FL. Everything I stated in my review is factual. There are no text messages thanking him for his timeliness or extra attention because that never happened. We were unsatisfied with the service provided at a price point that was much higher than his competitors. The next contractor we hired had to fix some of James and his associates' work, specifically the uneven cut of our walls and heights not consistent with FEMA regulations. We also have lots of pictures and text messages to back our claims, but we'll save that for when you take "legal action".

James and his team replaced an old skylight on our manufactured home. James communication skills are excellent. In fact the whole project was excellent. Response time, quality of work, his team. Outstanding! Two weeks after the skylight was replaced a huge tree limb fell on our lanai putting two holes in our roof. Once again, James responded within hours and was at our house within 48 hours to fix the problems. We could not be more pleased with the service we received from James and his team at Castlebrook Restoration and Roofing. James came out to our home a couple of days after we contacted him to look at our roof. He took pictures of what he felt was causing our roof to leak and gave us an estimate the next day. After choosing him for the job, we landed on a date for the work to be done. James and his team began and finished the job when he said they would. They were very professional and thorough through out the process. They actually went above and beyond when I requested them to check out a couple of other worrisome spots on our roof. The were very meticulous in the work they did and cleaned up as if no one was ever here. As I said before we could not be more pleased with the experience we had with Castlebrook Restoration and Roofing. We are very happy with all facets of the way they do business and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, quality roofing/restoration business. Just a shout out to James Wiles was responding to a call from my husband. Got on my roof and explained what might be going on. Was very professional and knowledgeable and didn’t try to push a large repair bill on me. He put some tar around a pipe and didn’t charge me anything. Very polite and outgoing will definitely be keeping his number

Easy to get in touch with always called and showed up whenever they said they would. Great job on our metal roof and cleaned up when they finished I would definitely hire them again.

Castlebrook/James Wiles sealed the roof over our lanai because it was leaking and we haven’t had any issues since. James is a very caring, kind person who will go above and beyond to solve any issues you may have with your roof. I am proud to say James is our son and he will do his best to handle any roof issues you may have.

Hurricane Ian caused severe,extensive damage to my roof. A neighbor suggested Castlebrook. They came out immediately,placing tarps on the roof to prevent further damage. Our insurance claimed it could be repaired. Castlebrook came to our home and showed us how extensive the damage was and needed replacement. The insurance company would only pay $6500 and Castlebrook told us it would cost $18,500.The insurance company refused to pay any more. Castlebrook replaced the entire roof, the job was completed in one day,working diligently and expertly from early morning till dark even in the rain. We retained an attorney who was able to fully settled the claim in a reasonable time.Castlebrook’s caring and concern showed me their professionalism, from the adjuster to the salesperson, office staff and the installers - even one of the owners came to see me. Castlebrook knows their business,they are knowledgeable,on time,and courteousThe claim was settled in full.
